The Sunday afternoon memorial service at Qwest Arena paid tribute to J.R. Simplot and started its own mini-mystery - the disappearance of the spud magnate's signature hat.
The hat was included in a memorial arrangement at the service. After the service, it disappeared.
A Simplot family spokesperson confirmed Tuesday morning that the hat still was missing.
