Debbie McDonald treasures her memories of family get-togethers at her grandfather's home and spending time with him on outings.

"We'd always get together on the Fourth of July at McCall and spend Christmas together," she said.

"When the whole family got together, it was in excess of 50 people. Grampa and Esther were the ones who brought everybody together. It was important to him to spend time with the family."

What do you buy a billionaire for Christmas?

"I used to get him sweaters," McDonald said, "but he kept saying not to get anything because he had everything he needed. After that, I'd give him family pictures."
