Magic Reservoir is an ice-fishing hot spot for perch and trout. The high-desert plateau gets Arctic weather without tons of snow, which makes for easily accessible ice fishing.

Another option: Wildhorse Reservoir in northern Nevada has a similar climate and good access for ice fishing. Check Nevada ice fishing rules, which are different than Idaho's.
