TIP! If you’re quiet and sit in one place near the ponds, you’ll have a bunch of ducks and geese come close by for photos.

Geese and ducks are going quackers at Kathryn Albertson Park these days, and the park is ideal for wildlife watching.

The neat thing about the park is that you can take a quick stroll during your lunch hour or after work, if there's still enough light.

In one stroll last week, I saw wood ducks, shoveler ducks, wigeon, mallards and a pair of ducks I couldn't even identify. Geese were all over the place.

You'll also find songbirds in the wooded areas throughout the park.

The other cool thing about the park is that there are plenty of places to sit down and just watch what's going on.

This is definitely a great park to take out-of-town guests for a walk.

Don't forget the binoculars and camera, and maybe you'll be able to identify those ducks I saw.
