JOB CHANGES

Scott Peyron & Associates has added Mike Vogel to its health care and corporate communications team. Vogel is the former spokesman and public relations manager at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

Vogel honed his corporate communications experience at Washington Group International, where he served as public involvement director of the multinational contractor. He has been a senior reporter at three Pacific Northwest TV stations, including KTVB-TV in Boise, and worked in Idaho state government as public involvement coordinator of the Idaho Transportation Department.

Vogel is a graduate of the University of Utah. He was born and raised in Germany, is a naturalized U.S. citizen and is fluent in German. He is active in the Idaho Press Club and the Capital City Communicators. Vogel is a lifetime skier, and he has served the Meridian Police Athletic League as a coach and member of the board.

The stockholders of CSHQA recently elected David R. Davies, AIA, as an associate stockholder. Davies joined the architectural firm in 2006 as a senior project manager.

He has been involved with a variety of CSHQA's commercial and retail projects including the Idaho State Capitol expansion and renovation, Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Mountain Home, and the Bozeman High School expansion in Bozeman, Mont.

Davies owned and operated his own architectural firm for 15 years before joining CSHQA. He has been involved with more than 600 projects of various types including health care, assisted living, educational and religious facilities throughout the United States.

He earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho in 1985, and is licensed in several states. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architect and the Roman Catholic Diocesan Building Commission.

CONTRACTS

The Idaho Lottery has announced that it has awarded its pull-tab services contract to International Gamco Inc. ("Gamco"), which is headquartered in Omaha, Neb. Under the five-year agreement, Gamco will assume all aspects of the Idaho Lottery's pull-tab product line, including warehousing, delivery, sales, marketing, ordering and reporting.

The Idaho Lottery will continue to provide oversight and approval of all elements within the scope of the contract, which began July 1.

The contract provides performance-based compensation for Gamco along with an annual guaranteed percentage to the Idaho Lottery over the term of the five-year agreement.

Two one-year extensions are available for the Idaho Lottery to exercise beyond the initial five year contract.

RECOGNITION

Scott Leavitt was sworn in as the new president of the National Association of Health Underwriters at its 78th annual convention in San Diego.

After joining NAHU in 1995, Leavitt held numerous leadership positions within the organization, including president of Idaho Association of Health Underwriters, vice president of IAHU, regional vice president, secretary, treasurer, vice-president and president-elect. He is a recipient of the NAHU State Legislative Award, Dave Isern Lifetime Achievement Award and the NAHU Distinguished Service Award. Leavitt began his career in the industry more than 16 years ago. He is president of Scott Leavitt Insurance & Financial Services, Boise, and president and founding member of My Wellchoice+.

In addition, the Idaho Association of Health Underwriters announced its 2008/2009 Executive Board. Members are Connie Puett, president; Dana Drake, president-elect and symposium chair; Kristin Stewart, secretary; and Robert Tierney, past president.
