What’s the local average wage? Workers in the Boise-Nampa metropolitan area earned an average of $19.37 an hour in May 2011. That’s according to a Bureau of Labor Statistics announcement Thursday. The U.S. average was $21.74 an hour.

Canyon County Coroner’s officials say it appears 61-year-old Robert R. Luccari died from injuries he got from a single gun shot wound to the torso after he pointed a handgun at Nampa Police early Wednesday morning.
