The Broncos are set to open the season at home against Oregon, but the game is tentatively set to move from Sept. 5 (Saturday) to Sept. 3 (Thursday).
The home game against Miami (Ohio), which had been scheduled for Sept. 26 (Saturday), has been moved to Sept. 12 (Saturday).
A road trip to a Mid-American Conference school remains on the Broncos' schedule, but to a different school than previously announced. Instead of Boise State traveling to Toledo, the Broncos will make a trip to Bowling Green on Sept. 26.
The Broncos are set to host a third nonconference game Oct. 3 (Saturday) against UC Davis. The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 19 (Saturday).
Boise State’s final nonconference game is tentatively set for Oct. 14 (Wednesday) at Tulsa.
“The dates on this schedule are still tentative, but this is what we expect to happen”, Boise State athletic director Gene Bleymaier said. “ESPN is still in the process of finalizing their television games. It is our hope to make an announcement on our complete 2009 schedule, with WAC games by the first of April.
“While some of our nonconference opponents have announced their schedules for 2009, we are still in the process of finalizing those contracts, which is why this slate of games is still tentative.”
