Four Treasure Valley athletes and a floor hockey team won a total of10 medals in the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games - one gold, three silvers and six bronzes. Here's a look back:

JOSHUA ORTEGA, Meridian, snowboarding

How he did: Ortega won gold in the advanced slalom, silver in the advanced super-G and bronze in the advanced giant slalom at Dollar Mountain in Sun Valley.

Quotable: "It feels nice, but I'm just here to rock 'n' roll and hang out with friends and make new ones," Ortega said.

ALICIA PAULIN, Caldwell, snowboarding

How she did: Paulin grabbed a silver in the novice slalom and a bronze in the novice super-G at Dollar Mountain in Sun Valley.

Quotable: "I had to," said Paulin on why she went faster in her second slalom run.

ANALINE TRAVIS, Boise, cross-country skiing

How she did: Travis grabbed bronze medals in the 50- and 100-meter classic races at the Sun Valley Nordic Center.

Quotable: "It feels so great. I'm really proud of it, and I feel so good. It was such a good experience for me when I went on stage," Travis said.

REUBEN MURRAY, Boise, snowshoeing

How he did: Murray took home two bronze medals from Ponderosa State Park in McCall. He raced in the 100 and 200 meters.

Quotable: "He's outgoing. He's sociable. He'll just wander off and introduce himself to total strangers. So he's in heaven. This is his element," said Ben Murray, Reuben's dad.

CALDWELL WILDCATS

Unified floor hockey

How they did: The Wildcats earned a silver medal.

Quotable: "Just being here has been the gold medal. I've seen the athletes grow just since we showed up here," said Wildcats assistant coach Russell Watson.
