
The Treasure Valley Family YMCA and seniors are gearing up for the 2008 Idaho Senior Games on Aug. 9 and Aug. 16-24.
More than 500 seniors have registered to participate in a variety of sporting activities, including archery, badminton, cycling, track and field, basketball and racquetball.
Idaho Senior Games is a social and recreational event designed to encourage better health and fitness of men and women age 50 and over.
The Treasure Valley Family YMCA took over management of the Idaho Senior Games after the close of the 2006 games. This year's games are the qualifier for the 2009 National Senior Games in Palo Alto, Calif.
